Intel Core i7

Intel Core i7
Two years ago, Intel launched the Core 2 Duo processor, which is great. Today, Intel officially unveiled its next generation microprocessor desktop Core i7 (formerly Nehalem). The new CPU is faster than the Core 2 Duo, although dedicated to the fastest CPU available today.

Core i7 has launched three quad-core version of the three segments of the desktop market. The first is the basic model 920 (2.66 GHz), the official U.S. price $  s 286th The second model is a 940 2.93GHz, U.S. Price $ 562, while the third model, the 965 Extreme Edition 3.2 GHz $ 999.
Measured by the price of the Core i7 is not cheap. But if you want to mount a PC Core i7 system, you do not have to pay dearly. The system, are the only options Intel X58 (ICH10 southbridge) and DDR3 memory. Both prices are not cheap.

However, this new processor has a number of new features, among others, integrated memory controller and Turbo mode. Hyperthreading is turned on again by using a nuclear weapon in three existing virtual fifty-six Core i7.

Turbo mode on behalf of the dynamic speed? The technology allows the CPU to shut down the system and increases the speed that can be useful in applications that require more megahertz, and the number of seeds. The multi-threaded application, the CPU load on all stocks of seeds.

This new CPU has 731 million transistors, a fish measuring 263 square millimeters. All Core i7 processors are designed for 130 watts of thermal design. I can quickly connect composite scalable bandwidth of 19.2 seconds for models 920 and 940 to book gigs, and 25.6 giga Extreme Edition model.
